Matt had worked closely with Propel’s founder, Ray Hein, years earlier when Ray was at Agile Software and Matt was VP of Sales and Marketing at Datasweep. When Ray began thinking about starting Propel, Matt was his first call, helping him think through the decision months before the company launched.
We led Propel’s inception-stage financing and their classic Series A, bringing in a syndicate that included notable angels and board members. Since then, we’ve stayed on as a board member, and helped frame the company’s strategy and follow-on investor base.
